Power Settings
1. Access Power Settings:
- Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
- Navigate to System > Power & sleep.
2. Adjust Screen and Sleep Settings:
- Under Screen, choose the time it takes before your screen turns off when your Palbook is plugged in or running on battery.
- Under Sleep, choose the time it takes before your Palbook goes to sleep when it’s plugged in or running on battery.
3. Additional Power Settings:
- Click on Additional power settings to open the Power Options control panel.
- Select a power plan or create a new one to optimize your power usage.
Lid Settings:
- In the Power Options control panel, click on Choose what closing the lid does.
- You can set the action for closing the lid when your Palbook is plugged in or running on battery to Do nothing, Sleep, Hibernate, or Shut down.
Power Mode Options:
- Best power efficiency: Reduces system performance and extends battery life by limiting background activity and adjusting system settings.
- Balanced: Provides a balance between performance and battery life. This mode automatically adjusts settings based on your activity.
- Best performance: Increases system performance at the expense of battery life. This mode is ideal for resource-intensive tasks and applications.
Battery Saver Mode
1. Enable Battery Saver Mode:
- Click on the battery icon in the system tray.
- Toggle Battery saver on to extend your battery life by limiting background activity and adjusting system settings.
2. Customize Battery Saver Settings:
- Go to Settings > System > Battery.
- Under Battery saver, adjust the settings to turn on battery saver mode automatically when your battery drops below a certain percentage.
Monitoring Battery Usage
1. View Battery Usage:
